MEET THE MENTORS OF SKENA WORKSHOP (MARCH 2-20, 2026)
Visar Morina (Leading Mentor), Leart Rama (Technical Mentor), Enis Saraçi (Editing Mentor) and Kushtrim Haxha (Set Supervisor) will accompany participants throughout the entire creative process, from the initial idea to the development, realization and presentation of scenes, through discussions, analyses, individual mentoring and practical and group work.

VISAR MORINA / LEADING MENTOR
Visar Morina was born in Pristina (KV) and is based in Cologne (DE). From 2004 to 2010 he studied film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, during which he worked on various film and theatre projects as an assistant director at Schauspiel Köln and Volksbühne Berlin, among others. His diploma film DER SCHÜBLING (Death by Suffocation) received several national and international awards, including the “Most Surprising International Film of the Year” at the Odense International Film Festival in 2010. His short film OF DOGS AND WALLPAPER (2013) was selected for the International Short Film Competition at Locarno IFF and nominated for the German Short Film Award in 2014. Morina’s debut feature BABAI (2015) premiered to critical acclaim and won Best Director at Karlovy Vary IFF, as well as Best Director, Best Script, and Best Actor at FilmFest München, among other awards. His second feature EXILE (2020), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, further establishing his international reputation. His recent film SHAME AND MONEY also screened at the Sundance Film Festival, continuing his trajectory on the international festival circuit. He is represented by Susan Colak / FBE-Agentur.
LEART RAMA / TECHNICAL MENTOR
Leart Rama is a director from Kosovo. His film practice focuses on building atmosphere, rhythm and emotional tension, treating film as a sensory space where image and time carry meaning. His films often dwell in areas of ambiguity, exploring the fragility, isolation and internal conflicts of characters. His approach to film is deeply influenced by the way a scene is heard. Sound design occupies a central place in the narrative structure of his works. In addition to his work as a director, Leart also engages with sound as a DJ and producer, using music as a continuation of cinematic thinking. This connection between film and sound permeates his entire artistic practice. Leart is the founder of Katarzë Films, the blissblissbliss collective and label, and co-curator of DokuNights at DokuFest.
ENIS SARAÇI / EDITING MENTOR
Enis Saraçi is a freelance film editor from Kosova, born in 1992. He holds a master’s degree in Montage from FAMU in Prague and has been editing fiction and documentary films since 2014. As an editor, his work has contributed to award-winning films screened at major festivals, including as Cannes, Sundance, Berlinale, and Toronto. His notable works include the feature film “Zgjoi,” directed by Blerta Basholli, a three-time Sundance winner. The film was also shortlisted for an Oscar nomination. He has also worked on Samir Karahoda’s short films “Pa vend” and “Rrugës,” both of which competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. In recognition of his contributions, Saraçi was honored with the Annual Cinematography Award by the Ministry of Culture of Kosova in 2023.
KUSHTRIM HAXHA / SET SUPERVISOR
Kushtrim Haxha has completed his studies in Film Directing at the University of Prishtina. He has experience as a First Assistant Cameraman in several feature films and short films. Through this experience, he has a good understanding of how the process of creating a film works and the importance of collaboration on set. This experience has helped him develop a special skill in the field of photography and better understand cinematography, the use of the camera and the entire process of transforming an idea from script to film.
